Graves of the Ramones
The Ramones were never the band I thought would lose member after member till they were down to their last original Ramone Tommy Ramone. Dee Dee once said "Touring made Tommy crazy, He just didn't have that hardshell." I guess he got out and did what he wanted to do. Produce music, Not really Ramones type music, but Tommy is the last Ramone so he's still got his credibility in my eyes. Mark Bell is an idiot, I hate him doing "Spoken Word" tours to talk about "Being the Ramone left standing. He'll never be a "Real" Ramone to me. As Joey called him "Marky come lately" and thats all he'll ever be in my eyes. The "surviving the Ramones" exerts will explain what a jerk off the guy really is - also acting as the wordman for the Ramones is rididculous.
JOHNNY RAMONE
I want to hear it from Arturo Vega please. So for everyone telling Ramone tales here's the bunt result of being a Ramone. First I saw Dee Dee's grave. It was in a great spot at Hollywood forever under a huge tree w/a cool shaped headstone and a humorous exit line. The first time I went to see Dee Dee's grave it had been raining. There were all these cool little items left on his headstone. There was a 45 of the Bay City Rollers' "Saturday Night" few knew Dee Dee loved them. The Ramones were asked by the B.C.R. to record "I wanna be your boyfriend", Dee Dee was excited and thought we could have a hit, but the rest of the band shot him down and refused to license the song to them. There were guitar picks and all kinds of weird stuff, A Bob's Big Boy Doll, Pix of Dee Dee. It was a nice gravesite.

I covered his headstone in butchers paper and etched his headstone. Smoked a joint cross legged talking to Dee Dee. The next time I went was to see the "Johnny Ramone Memorial" I was more hesitant Johnny Ramone had a memorial designed for himself before he became extremly ill. L.A. Weekly had refered to it as the "Big Bronze Joke" I went and was pretty disapointed. It's as cheezy as Velveeta. Horrible construction, Johnny was famous for his stance and the sculpture of him is cut off at the knees, it looks bad. the face is terrible. It looks bloated and rough. the hair is thin and too long, and the ridiculous quotes on the tomb make it as remarked a bronze joke. From the bronze signature to the words by Rob Zombie it is an embarrasing memorial and polished daily. I could not go to N.Y. to see Joeys but recieved pixs and a description and I heard Joeys' is like Dee Dee's a fan stie memorial. Joey and Dee Dee were always my favorites, so it's cool the graves are similar and have a lot of fan traffic. Johnnys memorial is watched regardless we lost the Ramones. And there will never be a group to stir the pot the way they did.
Music is in a slump just like the 70's but is there anyone who wants to step up to the plate before they sign a 3 album deal, not bloody likely.
Hey Ho! Ramones!
